Windows 8放弃了微软长期扶植的Live品牌

新浪科技讯 北京时间3月1日早间消息，据美国科技博客The Verge报道，微软周三发布了Windows 8(以下简称“Win8”)消费者预览版。为了巩固并简化品牌，微软对Win8中的应用名称进行了统一更改。

Windows Live应用将预置在Win8应用中，并统称为“Windows通信”(Windows Communications)，Windows Live ID则被“微软账户”(Microsoft Account)所取代，Zune音乐服务将完全消失，但Zune Pass依旧可用。

传闻称，Zune将被类似于Spotify的音乐服务取代，并基于Xbox Live，该音乐服务将在今年晚些时候发布。

“放弃Zune是属于微软简化、巩固品牌努力的一部分，旨在将微软品牌打造成Hotmail、SkyDrive一样的简单消费者信息。”The Verge报道称。
